Classic shiny calf boots: with menu of 7 colours and square and stiletto heels!
The classic, shiny calf length boot is a staple of every woman's Second Life wardrobe.
Whether you're looking for footwear simple and fun enough to wear with jeans, or lustrous and sexy enough to complete your leather-latex look, these boots are perfect.
Simply drag the "Bright Boots boxed" object from your inventory onto the ground to rez it, right-click and click "Open", and at the bottom of the contents window click "Copy To Inventory" to create a new folder.
Then just right-click the folder and click "Add to current outfit" - and in a moment your avatar will be wearing her new boots.
Click either boot to display a menu of colours and heel types. Choose from black, red, blue, green, purple, cyan, yellow - and switch between elegant square heels or sexy stilettos.
With the boots, you will also put on an "alpha" layer, which will hide your foot and lower calf, preventing it from showing through your boot, and removing the need for ugly "invisiprim" heels - which become very much visible whenever you walk across a shiny or semi-transparent surface.
If the boots are not a perfect fit, they are modifiable: simply edit them until you achieve the look you want. Find and stand yourself on a posing stand, so that your body doesn't move while you do this (if you don't have one, try the free Bright Posing Stand), right-click a boot and select "Edit" from the pop-up window. Then use the three coloured arrows which will appear through the centre of the boot to move it, or hold down Control and Shift to make eight white cubes appear around the boot, which you can stretch to make the boot bigger and smaller.
This can be fiddly, but its a useful skill - you can perfect the fit of any modifiable attachment this way. Be sure to keep the box with your original boots in case you make a mistake - so you can always unpack a new pair. For a visual demonstration of editing attachments, try Torley Linden's video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iq0p7tw08rI
Bright Boots attach to your lower legs, so when you wear them, they will automatically replace anything already attached there. However, they do not attach to your feet - so if you are wearing prim shoes, which usually attach directly to your feet, or prim boots which have separate soles attached to your feet, you will need to remove these manually. Simply right-click them, and click "detach".
Enjoy your happy feet :)
