A free snack machine which gives out free drinks and chocolate to your visitors!
The Bright Snack machine gives out free drinks and chocolate to visitors to your venue. Only three prims, it is cleverly textured and highly detailed, and is perfect "dressing" or "furniture" for your site, inside or out.
To unpack it, drag the "Bright Snack Machine boxed" from your inventory onto the ground to rez it, right-click it, click "Open" from the pop-up menu, and "Copy to Inventory" from the content window displayed. This will create a folder called "Bright Snack Machine" in your inventory: simply find the "Bright Snack Machine" inside, and drag it onto the ground.
It is a simplicity itself to use. A screen displays the message "click to start". When a resident clicks the machine, the screen brightens. and shows the label of one of the twelve products, plus the instructions "white arrows select" and "blue button gives". (The green power light at the bottom of the machine glows, and the red light dims.)
As the resident clicks the arrows, the machine displays the label of each product in turn. When the resident clicks the blue button, they receive the product currently displayed, along with a message asking them to "wear" it to use it.
When they wear the product, it will appear in their right hand, and (providing their AO animations don't override it) will lift the drink or snack to their mouth at random intervals, between 10 and 60 seconds. The resident can also click the object to prompt this. The effect is that they appear to be occassionally taking a drink or bite as they continue to walk and talk in Second Life.
The 12 brands are entirely fictional, but are light, fair-use parodies of products you may know.
If the machine is left unclicked for a minute, it will "switch off", returning to the "click to start" display, reducing the glow on the buttons, and lighing the "red" power off indicator.
To resize the snack machine, first click it to switch it "on". Then click the panel at the bottom which says "Bright Corporation Snack Machine", and a menu will be displayed, showing heights between 1 and 10 metres. Choose a new height for the snack machine, and it will resize itself and reset.
The machine is "copy/transfer", as are all the products it gives out. Please feel free to pass on the boxed machine, or indeed any of the products dispensed.
The machine is no-mod, and is not designed to be a general "giver". If you'd like one of those, check out the "Bright Dispenser", which is also a freebie.
